Frequently asked questions

Answers to the questions we hear most from Metro Atlanta customers.

Booking

How far in advance should I schedule my move?
Two to four weeks is a comfortable window for most Metro Atlanta moves. Peak weekends fill up faster, so earlier is better if your date is fixed.
Can I request a last-minute move?
Contact us and share your date. Availability varies by season and crew schedule — we'll let you know quickly whether we can help.

Estimates and Pricing

What information is needed for an estimate?
Property size, number of items, both addresses, access details (stairs, elevators, parking), any specialty items, and the services you need.
Is the estimate binding or non-binding?
Final estimate policies must be confirmed with our office. Ask for specifics when you receive your quote.
What factors can change the final cost?
Actual inventory, access conditions, added services, or a change in scope on move day can all affect the final total. See the pricing factors page for the full list.

Packing

Are packing materials included?
Packing materials can be included in your quote or purchased separately. We confirm quantities during the estimate.
Can the company pack my home?
Yes — full or partial packing is available, including kitchen and fragile-item packing. Add it when you request your quote.

Move Preparation

Do I need to empty dresser drawers?
Empty drawers of anything fragile, valuable, or liquid. Clothing usually stays. Ask us if you're unsure about a specific piece.
How should I prepare appliances?
Disconnect, drain, and dry appliances before move day when appropriate. Some appliances require professional disconnection — check the manufacturer instructions.
What items cannot be transported?
Hazardous materials, flammables, and certain perishables typically cannot be transported. Contact our office to confirm any item you're unsure about.

Apartments

Do I need to reserve an elevator?
Most apartment properties require a reserved moving window and elevator hold. Contact your property in advance and share the details when you book.
Can you provide a certificate of insurance?
Certificate of insurance availability must be confirmed with our office. Share your building's requirements when you request your quote.

Moving Day

Can movers handle stairs?
Yes. Note the number of flights, whether stairs are narrow, and whether there's a landing so we can plan crew size.
What is a long carry?
A long carry is a longer-than-usual walk between the truck and the entrance. Distance affects loading time, so we ask about it during the quote.

Long-Distance Moves

How is delivery timing handled on a long-distance move?
We share expected delivery windows based on distance and logistics. We do not promise guaranteed delivery dates.

Specialty Items

Can you move a piano or safe?
Specialty items require confirmation before booking. Contact us with the item's details so we can review crew, equipment, and access requirements.

Commercial Moves

Do you offer after-hours or weekend moves?
After-hours and weekend availability [CONFIRM WITH OFFICE]. Share your ideal timing when you request a quote.

Which Metro Atlanta counties do you serve?
